Young, Strong, Heroic: Scott Olsen

A name became a symbol, and the man whose name it is became a Hero... with a 'projectile' aimed, perhaps at him, perhaps randomly. 

And with the resultant fractured skull, Scott Olsen became the embodiment of a Cause. He merely wanted to 'fight the good fight' here at home, as a member of 'Veterans  for Peace'. He wanted to add his American voice; a voice of experience from his overseas warfare tours.

Scott Olsen faces a slow road, a grind, on his way to recovery from that brutal, unprovoked assault. An assault that is noteworthy, being not only against his Person, but against his Citizenship.

Not only against his citizenship, but against his Right to peacefully Assemble. Not only against these Rights, but also against his right to be Rescued in Combat. Ample evidence exists that show another coward (we do presume it was not the same officer!) tossing from his 'back row' position, a 'flash-bang' grenade into the midst of a dozen or more concerned American Citizens, to stifle their combined efforts to aid a fallen Hero.


The unidentified coward-Assailing Law Enforcement Officer remains at large. And that offers us the idea that his or her level of pure cowardice, has exponentially increased with each day that they successfully guard their anonymity; as a protected Enforcer of un-American dictates from Mayor Jean Quan (who takes all responsibility as motivating force for the actions against American Citizen Protesters), they are as much the 'Enemy' (and more so) than any mythic overseas 'Terrorist'.

Recent videos of Scott Olsen, such as the one below, from an interview on the MSNBC Rachel Maddow show,  offer indications that our concerns for his recovery are merited. He displays, in moments of speech imperfections, both how extensive were his injuries, and how remarkable remains his accomplished recovery. 

There is much to be done, to return these United States to their rightful Owners.


Heros like Scott Olsen, our second recipient (of many to come; as backlogged as are our incident files) of the Occupy Emerald Heart, are hereby recognized for their Courage, Voice and Freedom: to take a 'bullet' -- a bullet expelled and expedited by the Forces of Fascism.

You have awoken a Spirit, unknown in America for some 40 years or more, a beautiful year that began in witnessing afar the cries of Young Arabs in their Streets; brought home to our soil by the strong reactions to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.

You insist with Voice, Slogan, Sign and Video, that the 'better future', for so very long sold to us by advertising of products and Political Office seekers, is now actually being forged, Our combined efforts to put into place under new rules promoted by our, the 99 percent, coalition of coalitions, faces stiff resistance from those Fascists who rule their Oligarchy. We hope to Salute every wounded participant, upon verification that satisfies our stringent criteria. 


You are in favor of the removal of 'corporate money' from political Speech, as the US Supreme Court 'improvised' under its Citizens United ruling of 2010, and other grievances for which we Petition our governement for a Redress of serious Grievances.  


You are entitled to a 'token of our National Esteem', honoring the verified injuries and false arrests as victims of Oppression. 


This blog will create (in the weeks to come) an actual Medal, and in the meanwhile archive for Public Acclaim, those recipients who merit, for their unselfish and unprovoked verified injuries, an Emerald Heart, to be conveyed solemnly for their participation in this Year of Change.


Please note: this Medal will only be awarded for acts of unwitting bravery, in the face of Fascist Police Brutality, or State abrogation of responsibilities to the participants in pacific demonstrations (until further notice). It cannot be won via self-serving provocations that would be harmful to the sincerity of this effort.

First Emerald Heart awarded to Victims of Anthony Bologna

On September 17th, Americans woke up to the established fact that Fascistic control of America extended a Hand of Authority, of Brutality, over the First Amendment Rights of pacific US Citizens. 

Heroines instantly, Chelsea Elliott and Kaylee Dedrick are two of the principal victims of NYPD Lt. Anthony Bologna; he who faces a 'loss' of only ten Vacation Days, if he 'accepts' the 'findings' of the NYPD internal investigation.

... are 'penned' and then 'gassed' with pepper spray, in violation of all NYPD procedures for proper, 'by-the-book' arrestations and proven misuse of noxious chemical weaponry. 

A Village Voice article from October 17, 2011, documents the process of each woman Citizen is undertaking, by separate suits involving Bologna and the NYPD. 

As such, 'Occupy Emerald Heart', a newly-created Blog, situates ourselves to identify as HEROS and HEROINES, those brave American Citizens who have been targeted by State Agents for Brutal Oppression, with the risks of injury and further complications arising from their expression of our First Amendment Right to seek redress of grievances. 

Occupy Emerald Heart is hoping, in the weeks to come, to transcend from a 'digital award' to a substantive, physical Medal (patterned on the US military's Purple Heart), and offering recipients a recognition for their travails, with an award symbolizing the green of Emeralds and biologically pure, sustainable agriculture and our Planet. 

A follow-up article, in the VV, also describes in greater details the legal steps being considered, as well as the requests made upon the NYPD by these two brave Plaintiffs.

Chelsea and Kaylee, and their other 'penned-in American heroines' (the group sprayed and arrested were all women), are brave victims of the newest American scourge: Fascism. 

We at 'Occupy Emerald Heart' will be playing 'catch-up' with the long, growing list of American Heroes, and Heroines. 

Thank you for being Proud of Your and Our Country: united we can outweigh the financial tumult provoked by a Fascist government-business alliance of Evil People.
